From Kristiansand you take a scenic train ride with Sørlandsbanen to Stavanger. The train has comfortable seats, great views, toilets and a dining car. There is also a playroom available - fun for the kids and relaxing for the parents!

On this first part of your tour you travel along the Norwegian south coast, known as the «Norwegian Riviera». You will have a short stay in Norway’s most popular summer town Kristiansand - a great place to enjoy a lunch, perhaps at Fiskebrygga (Kristiansand Fish Market).

Charming Stavanger: When you arrive in Stavanger, and overnight stay is required. We recommend spending your evening by exploring the picturesque Old Town (Gamle Stavanger), with its charming cobblestone streets and vibrant atmosphere. You will also find a lot of great street art throughout Stavanger. Stavanger is known for its great food scene, so visiting one of Stavanger's many restaurants is a must. Here you can enjoy delicious locally sourced food from the seas or hills.

The fjord cruise takes about 3 hours and you will experience the mighty Preikestolen and the towering Hengjanefossen waterfall. You will also get a chance to feed the goats grazing at summer pastures in the Lysefjord. With luck, you might also see a seal sunbathing on a rock from the boats spacious sundeck!

Stavanger - Bergen

West coast bus ride: Your journey from Stavanger continues by taking a comfortable bus ride along Norway's scenic western coastline to Bergen. There are two ferry crossings during the tour. During these ferry rides, you can get out to strecth your legs, enjoy the views from the deck or perhaps even try a local Norwegian treat from the cafeteria. We recommend a waffle or lefse! The bus has comfortable seats, panoramic windows, WiFi and USB ports for charing.

Explore Bergen

Historic Bergen: When you arrive in Bergen an overnight stay is required. Bergen is known as the city between the seven mountains and the gateway to the fjords. The city was founded almost a thousand years ago in 1070 by Olav Kyrre. This is the urban hub of Western Norway, and Bergen offers activities and enjoyment for all. A minimum of one overnight stay is required in Bergen, but we highly recommend two overnight stays here. This will give you time to explore and get to know one of the country's most beautiful and historic cities!

The cruise takes you through the majestic UNESCO-protected Nærøyfjord and the stunning Aurlandsfjord. With steep mountainsides, towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, and small hamlets, this fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord is perhaps the most outstanding natural attraction in all of Norway. A definitive highlight!
