Hurtigruten & Norway in a nutshell® tour from Oslo
You start your tour from Oslo by traveling on either the Dovre Railway to Trondheim, or you take the Røros Railway to Røros. The Dovre Railway travels through beautiful valley and mountain terrain, while the Røros Railway takes you to Røros through rugged mountain wilderness.
Røros is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with authentic wooden structures and buildings. It is a charming and fascinating place and we highly recommend choosing the tour option that includes a visit to Røros. If you choose to include Røros to your tour, an overnight stay here is required before continuing on to Trondheim.
From Trondheim the trip continues on a magnificent coastal cruise with Hurtigruten along the west-coast of Norway. You spend one night on the Hurtigruten before arriving in Bergen.
From Bergen you embark on the popular Norway in a nutshell® tour. On this trip you will experience the scenic Bergen Railway, the breathtaking Flåm Railway, the Aurlandsfjord and the narrow Nærøyfjord on a fjord cruise and the steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva (May-September).
This trip takes you to Norway’s three largest cities – Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim – which have a wide range of tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping opportunities.
