Hardangerfjord in a nutshell & Rosendal tour from Bergen
On this tour you will see and experience the magnificent Norwegian coast and scenery of the inner reaches of the Hardangerfjord.
On this tour you will experience a varied scenery with lush fruit frams, high mountains, glaciers and impressive waterfalls! You can take this tour from Bergen as a one way trip to Oslo, or as a roundtrip with return to Bergen. You travel by fjord cruise, railway and bus, and the tour from Bergen requires a minimum one overnight stay en route.
You start your journey from Bergen traveling on a costal express cruise to beautiful Rosendal in the Hardangerfjord. This little village is surrounded by majestic mountains and Norway's only Barony (built in the 17th century) is located here. The tour continues with a scenic bus trip through along the Hardangerfjord to the fjord villages of Odda and Lofthus. An overnight stay in either Odda or Lofthus is required.
From Lofthus you will travel by fjord express boat on the Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord and Ulvik. The scenery along the Hardangerfjord offers a landscape of beautiful fruit communities, mountains and glaciers. Once in Eidfjord, you disembak the boat and join a sightseeing trip by bus to the spectacular Vøringsfossen waterfall and the Norwegian Nature Centre Hardanger.
Upon return to Eidfjord you embark on the boat that will take you Ulvik where a bus to Voss will be waiting for you. From Voss you travel on the scenic Bergen railway to Bergen on round trips, or continue on to Oslo on one way trips.
