Experience the magnificent Lysefjord, the Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen), wild and beautiful coastal scenery, the popular Norway in a nutshell® trip and three of Norway’s biggest cities: Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger.
The Pulpit Rock & Norway in a nutshell® tour from Stavanger is available as a round trip with return to Stavanger, or as a one way trip to Oslo. The tour requires overnight stays in Stavanger and Bergen, and you can add additional overnight stays en route according to your wishes.
Starting in Stavanger, you choose wether to go on a magnificent Lysefjorden cruice, or take a fjord cruise and a hiking trip to the spectacular Pulpit Rock. The Lysefjorden fjordcruise gives you the best views to the Pulpit Rock, which towers 604 meters above the fjord, while the hiking trip to the top of the Pulpit rock takes about two hours each way. Reaching the Pulpit Rock by foot gives you the opportunity to stand on top of the mighty mountain plateau and see the narrow Lysefjorden below.
After your Lysefjorden cruise or hiking trip an overnight stay in Stavanger is required before you continue your trip to Bergen traveling by express bus through contrasting scenery along the western coastline of Norway. Upon arrival in Bergen an overnight stay is required.
From Bergen you embark on the popular Norway in a nutshell® tour! Here you will experience the breathtaking Flåm Railway, the Aurlandsfjord, the narrow Nærøyfjord and the steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva, before arriving in Oslo. On round trips with return to Stavanger, you travel back to Stavanger from Oslo on the Sørlandet Railway.
